Ornamental Panels Material

Hi everyone, I'm super excited to share a new material I've been working on for quite a while now! Every quarter the material team at Certain Affinity does a material challenge and this quarter the challenge was to recreate ornamental panels based on an image reference. I learned a TON throughout the whole process but I’d have to say that the most valuable take away for me was learning how to leverage the SVG node. Probably sped up my work flow by like 10x for the complex shapes. Overall, my goal was to replicate the large forms while allowing some creative freedom for the colors and some of the surface materials. I've always loved the look of patina so I definitely leaned heavily into that. HUGE thanks to Ben Close, Jason Bretz, Will Tate, and Andy Fraser for their brutally honest feedback along the way!
